There are iPhone 4S tests taken which shows how Verizon is better for making calls while AT&T has better speed!
Metrico tested the iPhone 4S on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, performing more than 21,000 web-page downloads, 8,000 download/upload tests and 6,000 voice calls on real and simulated networks, and while stationary and in motion. They found that, out of the three carriers, Verizon was the most reliable for making and holding calls
Metrico’s tests showed that AT&T was the best for data upload and download speeds, with the iPhone 4S showing a significant improvement in data transmissions over the iPhone 4. Data reliability was near to 100% for all three carriers, demonstrating a huge improvement for AT&T and Verizon over their iPhone 4 data transmissions.
