How awful it is when you sit somewhere public and everyone stares at you..this what happened to some ordinary guy during the show!
On Tuesday, during the Mahler Ninth performance at the New York Philharmonic...the show was stopped cause of some iPhone disturbance!
A man's iPhone rung the iPhone Marimba ringtone causing such a disturbance to cut the orchestra, while the Music Director Alan Gilbert just so lost it!
"Mr. Gilbert was visibly annoyed by the persistent ring-tone, so much that he quietly cut the orchestra," the concert-goer reports. She related how the orchestra's music director turned on the podium towards the offender. The pause lasted a good "three or four minutes. It might have been two. It seemed long."
While some people kept shouting at the back to get him out or kick him out or making him pay a thousand dollar fine!
But before starting the show again, Gilbert has apologized to the audience:
"I apologize. Usually, when there's a disturbance like this, it is best to ignore it, because addressing it is sometimes worse than the disturbance itself. But this was so egregious that I could not allow it."
Well, though the phone ringing could be so annoying during such a performance but it should be strictly said everywhere to shut the phones or even "cut" the network in such halls..
Feeling pity for him but he deserved it..
Chapeau bas Mr. Gilbert!!

"Fine, we'll wait," Mr. Gilbert said.
